Rare set of Vintage Weider 5lb foot weights. Known as the "Iron Boot", WEIDER iron shoes were once popular among weight-lifters. Ideal for strength training, these primitive weights are made from solid cast iron. Shoes have a pass-through hole on each, in order to fit a barbell (and then attach weights). Boots are missing 3 straps, but any modern canvas or leather strap can easily be added. Total weight: 10lbs Weider boots are already hard to find, but these 5lb examples are very rare. Measures 10.75" x 3.75" CONDITION: Light wear, scuffs. These iron boots were never treated with enamel or varnish - they have no rust and are their original bronze colour - bare unprotected cast iron as created. As such, they have rust and surface oxidation.
